New Position

 I hadn't been getting many deer pictures in the first position. I thought it may have been due to the extreme cold keeping the deer in the forest. Also, we had a very big snowstorm, followed by a smaller storm. 

I decided to move the camera up the hill, facing back towards the house. I did get a lot more traffic cameras from Cold Spring Road. The camera manual said  it was better to have the camera  aimed at a background. The big red maple seems to work well, provided it stays up!

I also set the camera to take videos, which is very nice.

Deer Traffic Continues

They don't seem to come every night. The deer do come through our yard on a regular basis.

 

Sunday Night

Last night's deer traffic was heavier than before. We do seem to be surely in a deer trail. 

I'm thinking that I should increase the photo resolution to get more detail. I set them at first to minimize storage, but I would like to see more detail.

 At 3 am this pair of deer ran across the lawn.

New Trail Camera

We've always had a lot of deer running through our backyard. sometimes we could  see them at dusk. Sometimes we found the dead deer hit on the road.

So now we have a trail camera installed. I hope we get some good pictures.
